What We Believe About Church Gatherings
At Rise Church, our gatherings are not the destination—they are part of the equipping. We gather to be encouraged, strengthened, and prepared for life beyond the meeting. As an equipping ministry, RISE forms believers who carry Christ into their homes, workplaces, and communities—living a faith that reflects His heart, demonstrates His power, and is empowered by His Spirit.
What to Expect
Rise Community Church is a growing church family gathering in a home in Temecula, California, every Sunday at 10:30 AM.
Our gatherings are intentionally simple, relational, and Spirit-led. We’re not focused on programs or production, but on creating an environment where people can encounter Jesus, grow in His Word, and be equipped to live out their faith every day.
Come as you are! Our atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. There’s no dress code, and you don’t need to have everything figured out to join us.
When we gather, we make room for:
- Worship
- Biblical teaching
- Prayer and ministry
- Testimonies and sharing
- Community and fellowship
- Caring for one another
What about children?
Children are an important part of our church family! They are welcome to worship, pray, and participate alongside us. During our teaching time, younger children enjoy a dedicated “Jesus Time” with age-appropriate teaching before rejoining the gathering.
Around the Table
Once a month, we enjoy a family potluck following our Sunday gathering. It’s an opportunity to share a meal, build relationships, and enjoy life together.
We’re starting small, growing together, and making room for all that God wants to do in and through His Church.

Jillian Ahonen
Lead Pastor | Founder
Jillian founded Rise Church and currently serves as its Lead Pastor. She provides spiritual oversight, biblical teaching, discipleship, and shepherding with a heart to equip believers to know Jesus, live by the Holy Spirit, and become the Church beyond the four walls.
Rise Community Church is committed to building according to the pattern of Scripture and the New Testament model of shared spiritual leadership. As the Lord raises up qualified elders and pastors, they will be established to faithfully shepherd, equip, and serve the body together.
